Bukkake soba is a kind of buckwheat noodle. Soba is a very popular noodle soup. We can eat soba without soup as shown in the picture. Instead of soup, some ingredients are on top of the soba. The ingredients are seaweeds, green onion, raw egg, dried bonito shavings and ground yam. A little soup stock is poured over it. We eat it after mixing. Bukkake soba is sticky because of the ground yam. Japanese people really like sticky foods like natto, okra and kimchi.
