Hayashi rice is western-style dish called yoshoku in Japan. It usually contains beef, onions, and carrot in a thick demigurasu sauce which often contains red wine and tomato sauce. This sauce is served atop or alongside steamed rice. It is not spicy and is usually served in curry rice restaurants and yoshoku restaurants in Japan. It is categorized in western-style dish but it is not famous in western countries. There are some western-style dishes changed to fit the Japanese taste. The price is reasonable and about 700 yen.
