The Long Golden Week which is a long holiday from the end of April to the beginning of May in Japan is getting close. It is a 10-day consecutive holiday. It starts on April 27 and ends on May 6. I tried to book a hotel during the golden week but I could not do it. Most of the hotels in sightseeing places are full. Only very high class hotels have a little vacancy. I think travelers will experience a traffic jam on the roads. It is also possible that most of the clinics will close during the golden week. Especially, foreign travelers need to take care of their injuries and sickness since only few medical staff work during this period. We never had a 10-day consecutive holiday before.I am very interested in what will happen during this period because the Japanese era will also change from Heisei to Reiwa on May 1.
