A newspaper says that the examination for new foreign resident status is starting in some countries. In Manila, the examination for new foreign resident status (nursing) is starting in Ateneo de Manila University for the first time. About 125 persons have the examination of Japanese language and nursing skills on April 13th to 14th. The candidate for the examination will start working as a caregiver in summer in Japan. The maximum number of candidates had reached the fixed number soon in the first examination. So, the next examination is planned in May.
Japanese government has already concluded bilateral agreements with four countries such as the Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia and Nepal. It is also negotiating to conclude bilateral agreements with five countries such as Vietnam, China, Indonesia, Thailand and Mongolia.
