Two Cambodian women get the new foreign resident status which was revised on April 1. It was the first time for foreign workers to get the new foreign resident status after April 1. They work at an agricultural company in Kishiwada and got the new foreign resident status for agriculture. Staff taught them the Japanese and how to grow crops. Since they came to Japan to get the skills for agriculture and have already worked for 3 years, the change of their foreign resident status was accepted. They can continue working in Japan for 5 years more under the new foreign resident status.
