NEW YEAR'S EVE

Omisoka means the last day of the year in Japan.

· CULTURE

Most people are on holiday in the last day of the year. Many people usually have 6 consecutive holidays between December 28 and January 3. Japanese usually spend their winter holidays cleaning their houses and go shopping. We usually eat buckwheat noodles at dinner with our families on new year's eve. Since buckwheat noodles are long, it is said that we live a long life by eating them.
