Okonomiyaki is a Japanese-style pancake made from egg, flour and water with lots of toppings. Okonomi literally means how to cook and eat by your favorite way. Yaki literally means how to cook with an iron plate. There are several styles of okonomiyaki in Japan. The famous styles are Osaka-style and Hiroshima-style. Many okonomiyaki restaurants serve okonomiyaki by their original ways. Warai is one of my favorite okonomiyaki restaurants. It serves okonomiyaki which is softer than the others and includes noodles shown in the picture. Warai is a okonomiyaki chain which has 9 restaurants in Kyoto and 19 restaurants in Osaka as of now.

When we eat okonomiyaki, we usually season it with some sauces and toppings such as mayonnaise, spicy pepper powder, dried bonito powder, dried seaweed powder, sweet Worceter shire sauce and spicy Worceter shire sauce shown in the picture.
