· FOOD

Sashimi is a Japanese food and literally means fresh slices of raw fish. The picture is fresh slices of raw tuna. We can eat sashimi in Japanese restaurants and Japanese-style pub called Izakaya. We usually eat sashimi after dipping soy sauce and wasabi because this taste is just light. Raw tuna is softer than other raw fishes like sea bream, flatfish, and mackerel. Only fresh raw fishes are served as sashimi. Since it is one of very popular washoku, please try eating it during your stay in Japan.
