· FOOD

Somen is a kind of Japanese noodles dish which is very thin noodles made of wheat flour. It is thin noodle like soba. We eat somen after putting it in dipping soup which is based on soy sauce and dried bonito. The dipping sauce and noodle are cold so we usually eat somen in summer. There are a few restaurants which you can eat somen in Japan compared with ramen restaurants and udon restaurants. However, you can buy it in convenience stores and super markets. If you are a noodles lover and visit Japan in summer, you should try to eat four popular Japanese soup noodles such as ramen, udon, soba and somen.
