Takoyaki is a ball-shaped Japanese food made from wheat flour, diced octopus, tempura scraps, pickled ginger and etc. It is cooked in a special pan. You can use a lot of different sauces in your takoyaki, but the most common sauce are Worcestershire sauce and mayonnaise. The toppings are green seaweeds and shavings of dried bonito. Many families in Kansai have the special pan, so they sometimes cook takoyaki in their houses. Takoyaki has a creamy texture inside, but the outside is crunchy like a toasted bread.
