We have several miso-based soups in Japan. Miso soup is very famous traditional Japanese soup. Miso is a fermented soybean paste and it is used not only for miso soup but also for some Japanese foods. Akadashi is a soup which is blended with some kind of miso with broth. It is a common soup in sushi restaurants in Kansai. The ingredients in the picture are Japanese parsley called mitsuba, fish, seaweed, and clam.
